Your personal history/memories affect how you are as a person?
Hi, this is my first question as I am new to this, but what has been on my mind for awhile is that we all have unique personal histories (pasts) and memories unique to us and shared by no one else, linked to our consciouness, i guess you could say. Do you feel you have become the person you are and going the direction you are going in because of your past and the experiences you’ve gone through, in a subjective sense… I always fight with myself about this subject, it makes total sense, but it’s also mind-boggling and profound, because we all have subjective experiences no one else experiences.
What sorts of events in your past helped shape the person you are today? What memories/and experiences influence your direction in life? Do you feel any connection between your destiny and/or fate due to your personal histories and memories?
I guess these all contribute to how we are all so unique and contribute to the world in different ways. I believe these affect us prolifically.
Yes, we are very much the products of our childhoods.
Our past experiences shape and mould us into what we are today!
And it does so till our very end of days.
Mostly traumatic past events helped shape the person I’m today.
A bad accident, divorce of my parents, single-parenthood, death of my father.
No I don’t feel my fate is connected at all to my past experiences.
(Crikey, does that contradict everything I just wrote?)
I mostly agree with Fetch, bad experiences can have a postive effect; but only on the inherently strong.
