The Society of Arts & Crafts was organized in 1967 as a non-profit organization dedicated to the cultural development of local arts and crafts. Our purpose is to encourage students and amateurs to further their creative talents as well as provide them resources and an outlet to sell their crafts. The Society is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. We have three shows each year in March, October, and December for our members to display and sell their handmade crafts. All of our shows are held at Dorothy B. Oven Park at 3205 Thomasville Road in Tallahassee. You are welcome to visit our monthly meetings. We meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM in the ground floor dining room of the Tallahassee Senior Center - 1400 N. Monroe Street. We do not meet in June or July and have potluck dinners in May and December. If you decide to visit, we encourage you to bring samples of your crafts to share with everyone. We welcome new members all year long. If you are interested in joining us, contact us or stop by a meeting.
